Summary: Kagawa may be Japan’s smallest prefecture, but the thought of touring the area alone in a single day was a little daunting. Even if I had rented a car, I would never have been able to see all that I did by myself. My taxi driver, Tsutsumi-san, was delightful! He offered enough commentary to be informative and answered my questions thoughtfully and graciously in a manner that allowed me to enjoy the scenery without having to engage in distracting excessive conversation. Also, Tsutsumi-san drove me to a few sites that were not specifically on the list of spots we were to visit. Bonus! The only caveat I might add is don’t expect a tour in any language other than Japanese. If you’re not proficient in Japanese, a translation app or device will be a welcomed companion.

Summary: The full day tour was honestly the best choice to see all the scenic spot in Kagawa. I was just a little sad that the road to the Tori of the sky was closed.
